Committees

All members of the Florida Pro Bono Coordinators Association are eligible - and encouraged - to join a committee.

NominatinG committee

The Nominating Committee is responsible for vetting and proposing a slate of general officers to the general membership, in accordance with Article IV, Section 3.

The President-Elect shall serve as the Executive Committee's liaison to the Nominating Committee. The President-Elect shall appoint the Committee Chair from general membership. The Committee shall also include the Immediate Past President.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is responsible for reviewing applications and making recommendations for membership to the Executive Committee. The Committee will also help ensure members have access to orientation materials.

The Second Vice President shall serve as the Executive Committee's liaison to the Membership Committee. The Second Vice President shall appoint the Committee Chair from general membership.

Recognition Committee

The Recognition Committee is responsible for facilitating annual pro bono attorney and program recognition, including the Kay B. Meyers Pro Bono Award.

The Second Vice President shall serve as the Executive Committee's liaison to the Recognition Committee. The Second Vice President shall appoint the Committee Chair from general membership. The Committee shall also include the immediate past recipient of the Kay B. Meyers Pro Bono Award.

GENERAL PRACTICE SECTION PRO BONO AWARD COMMITTEE
The General Practice Section Pro Bono Award Committee shall be responsible for the direct communication with the General Practice Section of The Florida Bar  concerning all aspects of the General Practice Section Pro Bono Award.

The First Vice President shall serve as the Executive Committee's liaison to the General Practice Section Pro Bono Awards Committee. The The First Vice President shall appoint the Committee Chair from general membership. The Committee shall also include the immediate past recipient of the General Practice Section Pro Bono Award Grand Prize.


Public Relations/ Marketing Committee

The Public Relations/Marketing Committee shall be responsible for external communication, including maintenance of social media platforms and the website. 

The President-Elect shall serve as the Executive Committee's liaison to the Public Relations/Marketing Committee. The President-Elect shall appoint the Committee Chair from general membership.


program committee

The Program Committee shall be responsible for working with the President and other key stakeholders to organize and coordinate speakers, trainings, and presentations to advance the purpose of the FPBCA. It may also distribute materials and resources to support pro bono attorneys and programs.

The First Vice President shall serve as the Executive Committee's liaison to the Program Committee. The First Vice President shall appoint the Committee Chair from general membership.
